3D Barrier Bags Joins the Adhesive & Sealant Council
We are excited to announce our Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) membership. Underscoring our unwavering commitment to innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the adhesives and sealant sectors, strengthening our industry ties and furthering our commitment to innovation.
For over 30 years, we have supplied the adhesives and sealants industry with barrier foil laminates to protect against moisture vapor, oxygen ingress, UV light, and chemicals. Now, with our new relationship with The ASC, we will continue to be able to serve the industry better as it grows and stay ahead of trends and regulations that directly impact how adhesives and sealants are packaged and transported.
WHAT IS THE ASC?
The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) is a nonprofit, North American trade association that serves as a voice for companies in the adhesive and sealants sector. With more than 100 companies on the Council, the ASC fosters a collaborative environment where industry leaders unite to shape the future of adhesives and sealants.
Their mission focuses on advocacy to give companies within the industry a voice, education by providing resources like webinars, training programs, and conferences to support technical and professional development, and innovation by driving forward thinkers and initiatives to support product and process advancements.
WHY OUR ASC MEMBERSHIP MATTERS
As a manufacturer of high-barrier foil laminates, particularly for sensitive materials like moisture and oxygen-sensitive adhesives and sealants, we play a pivotal role in maintaining product integrity throughout the supply chain. Our packaging solutions are a testament to our unwavering commitment to ensuring that adhesives and sealants retain their effectiveness from production to application.
Adhesives such as Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) hot-melt adhesives are one example of the importance of our packaging within the adhesive and sealant industry. These adhesives are used in everything from cereal boxes to automotives and are highly susceptible to moisture in the atmosphere. Contact with ambient moisture will cause the adhesive to cure, resulting in catastrophic failure for the end-user.
Therefore, using our high-barrier foil drum liners, which offer the lowest known transmission rates for oxygen and moisture vapor ingress for any known flexible material, is incredibly important for the preservation and cost-effectiveness of the product. Our Barrier foil drum liners are manufactured from laminates that can operate up to 302F.
In addition to drum liners, we supply custom roll stock for form, fill, seal applications, which is ideal for single-component and multi-component sealants and adhesives. This type of packaging is particularly effective for applications that require precision dispensing. Our sausage packs are manufactured with the same high-barrier foil laminates, extending shelf life, preventing premature curing, and reducing material waste through efficient, controlled usage.
With our ASC membership, we can now get in front of more manufacturers that will benefit from our products and materials, allowing for better protection of their products and a better product lifespan.
We eagerly look forward to the opportunities our ASC membership will bring, including the chance to collaborate with fellow members. Together, we can continue to drive innovation in adhesives, sealants, and their packaging needs, shaping the future of our industry.
